Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

Great answer, Keith

Posted in: PATA
When asked about the number of people affected by a piece of legislation he was introducing, Keith gave a simple answer... ''I don't know''.

Granted this legislation is to expand the areas of protection against sex offenders in order to keep them away from kids, but one would think that Keith might want to do his homework a little better. Better yet, considering that only three know offenders may live within these new boundaries, it does not seem to have been all that difficult a task to come up with an answer to such a basic question.

Perhaps Keith just wanted to get his face on TV?
Isn't that enough?

He hasn't done a single other thing since taking office except joining Riggs at making a serious challenge of Doug Parker's record for most meetings missed in the history of Picktown.

If you two don't have time to play councilmen then quit and turn it over to someone who has the time.

If you two have such demanding jobs that keep you away from attending these meetings then quit and turn it over to someone who has a less demanding job.

If you two have too much family commitments to miss so many meetings, then put your family first and quit and turn it over to someone who has fewer family commitments.

If you two have such health issues that cause you to miss so many meetings then quit and seek better medical attentions and turn it over to someone with less health issues.

Have I missed any excuses?

Whatever excuses you have, attend to them and turn your seat over to someone who will actually show up when they are supposed to.

Is there any way to see how many meetings these two have missed this year???

Missed mtg.

You could do the hard approach and read the meeting minutes from each meeting they're supposed to be in and see who was present or not. I believe the first part of the minutes shows who was there or not.

Or you could call the city clerk and ask her, she'd probably have that information if it's that important to you.
It should be important to all

Getting elected to an office carries an obligation to have to show up for meetings. How can these people represent us if they don't show up to vote on issues for us?
