Tonight I saw the new bus ''barn'' that is under construction. It amazed me to see that it being built with brick that matches the rest of the Taj complex.

I guess that the school board wasn't listening when we said that we are demanding fiscal responsibility.

What irks me is they are not GOLD bricks! How dare they?

the original barn was suppossed to be just inexpensive ''siding''. Unfortunately the schools are no different than anyone else building in Pickerington and must comply with current building codes. Have you noticed that any other commercial construction of late has included brick (Giant Eagle, all the new banks, etc). It's CODE not misspending. Look for something else to complain about.

And another thing...

I'm so sick of hearing that the school district is fiscally irresponsible. It's simply not true. To make this statement shows a lack of education on the subject. Do you realize that district wins a state award every year for financial accoutability? Only 5% of those audited win this award. Did you know that the district cut $600,000 to stay within budget? Tell me exactly how the district is misspending money. AND DON'T talk to me about North. It's over and done. It was a different time when that was built and a different school board. Come up with something new. I challenge you. I'm tired of the same old tired song. Have you been in North? I was there yesterday. I am struck by how mundane it is on the inside. I'm not sure what your idea of ''Taj'' is but I hope that it's better than North.
