I checked with my brother in law who works for the phone company. Apparently there are two ways for the 911 system to recognize where the call is coming from. First is the systems talking to each other and second is to actually place a call from the residence to the 911 system and key in the identification.
So there would be no risk at 911 not working with anyone in the city for when we become our own township. I hope that is soon. I am sick of paying the township for nothing more than breathing their air.
