Here is the Issue PAM

You want issues and then you say you haven?’t read or at least considered this idiotic development agreement being proposed by Gary Weltlich and Jeff Fix.

First of all what kind of problems do you believe that this agreement will solve?

If you do anything else please read the agreement.

It will create more problems than you might think. First the township CAN NOT stop annexation into the township. They have little or NO standing when it comes to 100% annexations. Example of that is that Lithopolis just annexed 5 parcels the old fashion way and their annexation was granted despite the fact that Violet Township filed an injunction to stop it.

So you sign this document and the township locks the City of Pickerington out of annexations for 30 years. The City has the rights to water and sewer for huge sections of the township and future development in the community. Do you really believe that the City will rush in with water and sewer between now and 2037 with these utilities and no annexation? What motivation does any future Pickerington city administration (that is not lead by a whacko) have in granting utilities without something in return? So the land goes undeveloped and or they look to those cities surrounding Pickerington and Violet Township for the zoning, utilities and municipal authority that in many cases sorely lacks in the current Home Rule Township.

I made some phone calls this past week and I will tell there is more resistance in the township than before when it comes to the real solution of a merger. I doubt a merger will ever happen.

What will happen is that villages and cities like Canal Winchester, Lithopolis, Reynoldsburg, Carroll, and Baltimore will expand their borders and divide up Violet Township between now and 2037 while Pickerington is hog tied into this agreement.

Mr. Fix says the above scenario is not possible. Well Mr. Fix Lithopolis just did in August of 2006 and it was your definition of a hostile annexation. Beside not knowing what the hell he is talking about Mr. Fix is taking this city and township down the toilet. In 2037 the PLSD will have added at least two new municipalities to the school district and those are governments that regulate the land use will have NO direct connection with the school district tax payers. What happens if Baltimore annexes out and includes the Diley farm which is in the eastern edge of the district. Lets say they put in 300 or 400 new homes? How do you stop the City (by then) from doing that. Once Carroll gets the Carroll interchange where are they heading. Right for the eastern sections of the PLSD and Violet Township.

I am not sure when the wake up call is coming but it damn well better be soon folks.. In 25 days or less you will have an agreement passed by a group lead by Jeff Fix that well forever put the screws to this township. The fact is the city well go through some rough times but it does have the authority to protect its taxpayers if we can get these idiots out of office that are promoting this crap.

You claimed in the past to have supported Ted and Brian. (For clarification, this is not another pro-Ted and Brian PATA whine) Having said that, there is the issue of what they did, specifically, that was so horrendous that their most avid supporters turned on them.

They ran together with Shaver and Riggs. They had a large amount of support from Gary Weltlich if I remember the campaign finance reporting correctly. Even Wonderboy Fix claims to have been their biggest supporter. (He also claimed to have had a direct hand in governing this community for seven years before running for office) Now all of a sudden they are pariahs.

Please tackle the issue of what they did that was so bad that all their biggest supporters turned on them. Why are Ted and Brian evil? I am curious to see this debate PAM, because I don?’t think they are evil. But I?’ll keep my mouth shut while this debate plays out. I am anxious to hear your side of the debate. Hopefully you won?’t demand debate and then sit quietly by or post under another equally amusing and anonymous pen name.

And let?’s stick to the issues, PAM. Let?’s not resort to calling Fix, Riggs, Shaver and Weltlich backstabbing sons of you-know-what (sorry webmaster). Let?’s stay away from calling them political opportunists. Let?’s not call them liars and cheats.

Most of all PAM, let?’s not say that they are reincarnations of Fox, Maxey, Monebrake, Hughes, Postage, Wright, Parker, Washington, and the rest of the old gang with their Joyce clone Gilleland. Let?’s not compare their tactics of ?“If you disagree with us, you are finished?” approach to governing the world. Let?’s not wonder and speculate what the ulterior motives and ultimate reward are for their renaissance of the golden age of Pickerington like it was up until 2003. Let?’s not look into profit. No, no PAM, let?’s not look the truth to squarely in the eyes.

Let?’s stick to issues.

How low will you go to hurt someone personally? There's no question that you will mudsling as much as possible to try to hurt people on this web site. The sad part is that you choose to include their families. Couldn't you stick to facts and stop making up things to make yourselves feel better? We all know the mayor had a depression issue earlier this year. He's fine now. Get over yourselves and stick to the political issues. I could make up whatever I wanted about anyone and post it to this site. Does that mean it's true? Or I could allude to something without naming names (or signing mine). It's up to the readers to decide what to believe I guess. I enjoy reading the posts about the school issues and city issues. The personal insults make me doubt you could be objective enough to have credible postings about anything. I guess that's why you usually just sign postings as ''anonymous'' so we can't even tell how your views on the issues line up with your personal attacks. You don't even have the guts to use one fake name so we can match up the postings. Very sad............

Get over it?

There is a lunatic running the city and you ask that we should just get over it? Are you out of your mind?

This is a person who has threated and publicly scorned just about every person employed by the city and you think we should get over it? This is a person that has used his office and abused its power and you suggest that we get over it?
