Head Count
My best guess........
Principal (X3)
Secretary (X3)
Education Administrator (X3)
Nurse (X1.5)
Duty Aide (X8)
Dean of Students (X3)
Art Teacher (X3)
Gym Teacher (X3)
Music teacher (X3)
Haven't even put a teacher in a classroom yet......
You build it, they will come.
As usual, I guess it's time for someone to tell me to leave town if I mdon't like it here.

Some yes, not all....
Yes administration will go up. Gym, Art & PE teachers aren't an automatic add - there are more than one of those types of teachers in buildings now to accomodate the number of kids in the buildings. Many times you have art being taught simoltaneously by two teachers (one in a classroom, one in an area in front of the bathrooms) because there aren't enough periods in a day for one teacher to handle all the kids. These teachers also travel between buildings as needed if the population doesn't justify a full time teacher.
The district has the lowest cost per administrator in two counties now, even with these adds we will continue to be in the lower end of the chart.

What is your point?
Did you think we were going to build needed new schools without staffing it. Who do you think is going to educate our children.

Wake up, Powder Puff
The levy that passed on Tuesday was for bricks and mortar. A building levy. The money to staff and operate the new schools is something else entirely. An operating levy. Two very different animals that come from....
Wait for it...
Another levy that will need to be passed in order to open these new schools. The light is at the end of the tunnel but we ain't there just yet. Try reading the levies before you vote, you might just learn something.
