Just so that we are clear

Since the four council members seem to be so convinced that they know what we want, let's take a moment to see if we understand them.

Mrs. Riggs - We thought for a moment that she was going to come to her senses and turn this ugly deal with the township around by asking for the city manager to review. But now it's apparant that was all merely a ploy to try and make herself look better in the public eye. What a disappointment she turned out to be. We figured that she was one of the good guys. Evidently personal family issues have created a hard exterior for her and she is now unaware of what her public obligations truely are.

Mrs. Hammond - We never in a million years would have thought you would side with Jeff Fix. While no one, not one single soul can say they understand why you ran for office, what your stance is on any issue, or even what you hope to accomplish in office... we certainly never saw this coming. This alone likely makes you the most dangerous person on council.

Mr. Smith - You stood on many a door step in the city and promised us that you would look out for the seniors. You have not done anything for the seniors yet and it would appear that you are poised to not only give away the rights of the city but also to raise our taxes. You wasted time with a sexual predator law in the city that accomplishes nothing and now you claim that you are all for the citizens in the referendum drive. You seem to have a hard time deciding which way the wind blows. Now you're the council president? What a joke you turned out to be.

Mr. Fix - You're turning out to be exactly what everyone thought you were. Crooked as a dogs hind leg. You were elected in a campaign financed by the township and now you're in full blown payback mode. You cannot produce one trustee to publicly state why this deal is a good idea for the city. You cannot get one city resident to state why this deal is a good idea. You claim to have been told over and over by residents that this is what they wanted. Well, were are those people now? Answer... they do not exist. They never did.

Mayor Shaver - It's long past time for you to go away. You have embarassed the city with your paranoia and your tirades directed at city employees and police officers. You have shown your true colors as someone with their own agenda and could care less about what the people of this city want. Good riddance in November.
