Melt down

Posted in: PATA
We are having a melt down of this community. It is apparent in these posting and it is apparent in the people I meet. I think news media has done very little to report on this tragedy that is unfolding. In the media?’s defense they have rookie reporters and the subject matter is complex. I think many cast their votes last year thinking things we running fine and then along came Fix. Folks things are not running fine and the Mayor is out of touch. We have his supporters posting here making claims that are not true and that is very dangerous for any community when we have uninformed councilmen making statements of fact with nothing to support the claims. The four votes on council are the tragic result of a survive need for social contact and inclusiveness.

I think one thing is also very apparent and that is the trustees long held policies are coming home to roost. They and their partner Canal Winchester have won the war. Now they feel entitled to the spoils of this war by the stupid income sharing of worthless land that they and only they claim is needed by the city. The new annexation doesn?’t require the city to give the township a dime. They bring nothing to the table and they are not needed for the city?’s survival. I am more than willing to pay a little more in income taxes just to end this nightmare with the township. For years now we have heard how evil the City leaders were and now with and entirely new crew in there they are still evil. The trustees even have at least four on council convinced that they are bad and they should allow the city tax payers to fork over even more.

We have Yosemite Pam preaching merger and that opportunity has now passed. I think a few yeas ago that may have been possible with the City residents when the full impact of this court decision is felt there will be an uprising in the City.

We have Yosemite Pam, saying that a City Fire Department would cost more based on the economics law of economy of scale while ignoring the other law of diminishing returns.

Yosemite Pam insists that the City needs township land. Here again what does she base that on? Is it because her professed friend at city hall says we need it or is it based on something of expert study or expert opinion. Mr. Fix is not qualified to make those assessment.

I would encourage our City residents to attend the council meetings and hear for your self. I think the next one is Tuesday.
