Serving two masters
Now didn't I read that Riggs wanted the staff to look at the agreement and give recommendations? Apparently staff did as requested and it was a real waste if staff time. Haven't we read where Riggs talked about her responsibility to hold a tight rein of the spending of the city? In fact I have heard comment from Fix about the same subject. Yet they let staff spin their wheels to provide political cover for them at the taxpayers expense. This is so that Riggs could miss the election night council meeting and not have the agreement go down with a 3 to 3 vote. Only to have her be out two weeks later.
Am I reading this correctly that Hackworth and Sabatino would support the staff version and the measure might pass with a 7-0 vote? But Fix says that staff version favors the City TOO MUCH and rejects that version. Who is Fix serving here?
