Let me look into my crystal ball. Councilman BW goes against the grain. He's chair of safety and no police are hired from the contigency list. Yet we can pay the legal team over $400,000.00. Fix admits we need the police.
The predictor says that after the first of the year during committe reorganization BW will be removed as chairman of safety. One of the Fix Four will be made chairman. Miraculously new police will be hired all in an attempt to make BW look bad during the elections.
It won't matter what the budget says they pass this tear. One of the Fix Four will be made chairman of finance and they'll move the money around in 2007.

Brian is not the Chair of Safety currently, Keith is, although Brian has without a doubt gone against the grain and ruffled some feathers.
He will most likely be relegated to 3rd seat on Rules if anything at all.
I think you're making an assumption he's running in 2007. After this year - would you?
City is sold down the river, what will be left to do but watch the finances flow to the trustees so they can put off a fire levy for another year until their election cycle is in mid-term.

Growing problem
I would say that on January 2nd, 2007 you will see what they are up to. That is the re-org meeting where for the next year the council votes for the leadership of the council. In addition they assign the committee positions and you will have a very clear picture of political payoff and revenge for swimming against the current. I believe there is no question that BW has challenged some on council and including the MAYOR.
There is growing displeasure with this ''Fixation'' on council. I think some will realize they are being lead right into the French fry deep fryer and may think twice about their current support of THE FIX IT BOY.
He thinks so highly of himself that others are only his servants at this point. Wasn't there a revolution involving French fires a few year back? Or was that the French revolution and feed them cake thing?
So Jeff please rest comfortable that the lawyers have been hired and money is raising to oppose your silly ass deal with Gary Weltlich and Jeff Miller. We know all about you and what is going down. Time will tell how this works out but I would strongly recommend that you make a statement on January 2nd to again defend your proposal in front of council. You have added to our group more than you will ever know. I would hope that you put the screws to Brian on January 2nd. Please do you it big chicken s--t.

No brainer
The council re-org will look like this...
Heidi will be the President of council again, provided she can tear herself away from whatever more important matters to actually attend the meeting.
Jeff will be the VP.
