I understand that the agreement passed this evening with a 4 to 3 vote. I further understand that 4 citizens spoke out against the agreement. I believe the score for the agreement is ZERO and those opposed are over a dozen.
I received a call this evening from someone who attended. Jeff Fix refused to apologies for the insults he leveled at Brian Wisniewski, Ted Hackworth and Mike Sabatino on December 5th.
Cristie Hammond verified for everyone she still didn't' understand which version of the agreement she was voting on. She also didn't understand anything about the new annexation law. She found out this evening that the city can still remove territory from the township even under the new annexation law if the annexation is not expedited. God help us she is now the Vice President of Council.
Keith Smith tired to justify his vote with amendments that he made to the agreement over the last 5 months. The only problem was that the only ones privileged to see that document over those 5 month were Jeff, Cristie, Heidi, and Keith himself. Also the Mayor of Canal Winchester. The three minority council members were left out of the loop.
Clearly Gary Weltlich is playing Jeff Fix like a drum.
One interesting note is that Mike Sabatino is the Chairman of Safety. That means he will be on Finance committee. Did they blink or what.
I will share the new theory later on what is happening with council and the Mayor this year.
