I'm gonna cross-post this, simply because I want to:
I think we should retroactively indict the whole Peck family. Heck, they're the closest thing to the mafia that Fairfield County's ever had.
Years ago I remember shooting pool at the old Cornerstone with the biggest pot dealer in the county. He was playing a losing game that amounted to him handing me $100 bills every 10 minutes or so. He didn't care.
I asked him how it was that everybody and their grandmother knew that he and his brother were responsible for practically everything that made it from Meigs to Franklin County.
He laughted and said, that it didn't matter who knew. And then he added ''Peck's 25%''. I bought him a beer and he gave me a few more hundred dollars.
Several years later the Feds took him down for - guess what?
Tax evasion.
At his trial it came out that the BCI thought that there had to be a connection between Peck and the drug traffic, and had even had Peck's home phone tapped for over 3 years.
Peck was never indicted. He was smarter than his heir.
Demastry just continued the culture on a smaller and stupider scale.
