Crsis in merger

It takes years to merge plus a vote of the citizens. While you guys are doing that Canal Annexes to Liberty township and will just stop any kind of merger. The state law does not allow you to have a satellite piece of any new city. You guys in the township you made your bed now lay in it with your ''good business partners from canal''.

Questions

Here are my questions to you.

1. Why is it acceptable to allow Canal Winchester to annex all the way to US 33 and not Pickerington?

2. Why is it acceptable to Invest Violet Township money and services into projects in the Village of Canal Winchester and not Pickerington.

3. Just what does the Township do for the over $200,000 the city residents send your way each year? Is it fair? If so why?

4. Why should the City share its future tax revenues with the township when the township has invested no money or time into the infrastructure that created the commercial opportunity? If you recall last spring Canal Winchester and Violet Township broke off talks with Pickerington and didn't want to allow them into he CEDA. They claimed they had invested their money (Canal and Violet) and Pickerington had not so Pickerington would need to antic up $1.5 Million just to be considered.

5. Why is a joint development agreement desirable in your opinion?

6. Can you state the differences between a JEDD and a CEDA? I think if you are a City then the CEDA is better if you are a township then a JEDD is better.

7. Have you did any study on the subject outside of reading Councilman Fix's comments of December 5th?
