Profanity will not be tolerated on this web site. Say what you have to say without using those adjectives or descriptions. If you can't stop using profanity, then go to a different website to post your comments this way.

If a posting remains on the website with profanity in it, rest assured it is because there was a technical difficulty deleting it and this is being discussed with the host at this time. If profanity is contained in a topic message, (the new discussion click,_ the entire discussion string must be deleted, this is not our choice but how the host service works.

We believe the same individual is posting comments containg profanity on a regular basis. Efforts are underway to identify this individual and when this occurs, your access to the discussion area will be denied.

Clean it up or get off this website.

My apologies

I offer my most sincere apologies should anyone have been offended, but how are remarks any different than the spreading of rumor and lies? Or the accusations of racism? Or even the blatant attacks on the character of others?

I do apologize but I feel than the ground rules need to clearly defined and enforced for one and all.
From the PATA Home Page

As part of this web site the Discussion Pages Section is a free formatted arena, and as such, viewpoints are those of the authors and not necessarily of PATA. Decorum is strongly encouraged (and appreciated) by serious posters within the Discussion Pages section.

I guess you can say what you want about people as long as you are willing to stand the test of libel.

li?·bel /ˈlaɪbəl/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[lahy-buhl] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation noun, verb, -beled, -bel?·ing or (especially British) -belled, -bel?·ling.
?–noun 1. Law. a. defamation by written or printed words, pictures, or in any form other than by spoken words or gestures.

As to profanity, I guess that is up to the webmaster's discretion. I think more has been accomplished on this site through issues and postings without profanity.

Like the webmaster, I suspect the vulgarity and profanity are the work of one individual. Who in this community stands to benefit the most from deleted postings is the question. I have my suspicions and I suspect that in threads that strike too close to the truth on some issues, this person posts profanity intentionally to get the webmaster's ire up and get the thread deleted. I also suspect the individual knows the limited technology of the host of this site and exploits that.

Now who knows PATA inside and out and has made serious claims as to the paternity of this whole gig? (hint-the answer is in Our Pages to the left)
