What your missing
Let's get the record straight. Columbus was stopped at Park Place and the golf course. The clubhouse and Turnberry Apts. are in the city of Pick. Marcus area was already in the city. The city did a TIF there to lure Marcus. Some will say that's not true, but it is. Reynoldsburg was courting them with a TIF. If you don't think that's right, I remind you that entire Walmart area was TIFFED by Reynoldsburg and no one complained about it. They only complained about Pickerington's. By the way, the Marcus TIF has been very successful. Ahead of repayment schedule. All the land that Pickerington has annexed was already zoned residential by the township except for the RG Barry area. Pickerington's code says when annexing, it was to downzone to ag and then re-rezone back to residential. By the way, I don't believe there is an ag zoning left in the township. As of their last land use plan, all township property had some deignation of residential or commercial. Your second paragraph begs one question to be asked. If what you say is true, then why did the township stand in the way of the 3 contiguous acres of commercial on Diley Road from being annexed? A 3 acre JEDD? Come on now. Let the 3 acres annex and get the offices built there. Why didn't the city go to that developer and pursue an annexation. Because the township mayor and manager and limp council couldn't lead a group of cubscouts. Or maybe they bowed to the township again. As to the 10 to 30 years, the city changed both parties to either party to stop a JEDD and this is one of the sticking points in the agreement for the township. Why does it take 3+ weeks for the township lawyers to get a 3 page document looked over when Fix and the township met for months. Rest assured they are probably talking behind closed doors again. That's what your missing. By In the know |

Overlooking a few facts.
The township cooperated in the annexation along 256 for the sake of stopping Columbus. What about the land to the west of Diley Road which was zoned Commercial by the Township which was rezoned to residential by the City after it was annexed? You know, just north of the City's well field! Sometimes all the facts are either not known or overlooked. |

jobs
yeah Marcus has all of those high paying jobs for income tax purposes doesn't it. It is clear the former adminstration is running rampant on this site still trying to pat themselves on the back for all of the good work they have done. Keep blowing your horns, we figured you out last time, sure Fix is a new wrinkle in the blanket, most of us who knew him before at PATA thought he was a little slippery then, now we know he is for sure. The disappointment to me is that with all of this shouting back and forth, energy is being wasted and intellect that is apparent goes to waste to craft a compromise agreement that is not as lopsided as this white elephant agreement is. We are the victims of our own actions and no white knight in any election will save us. |
