Finally, City Council with Guts!

Please Pickerington, secede from Violet Township and form your own township. After all the energy and time ($$$) our officials on both sides spent bickering and posturing, your doing so will finally put an end to all of the nonsense we?’ve had to endure all of these years. How much time have we wasted over the years threatening to do this or that? Annexations, Lawsuits, Water & Sewer Agreements. We are all tired and like to see closure.

Once Pickerington forms their own township they can do what you want and there will be no need for any sort of cooperation in the future. And Violet Township will be free to negotiate with whomever to create any and every business park they wish.

These two entities have proven they can not get along and a new township would be a good start at a new direction. And please, Pickerington residents, the secret petition only gets you half way. Please insist your councilmen and councilwoman move forward with creating your own township. This was long overdue! Just think, no more grandstanding in the local papers by our elected officials, and who knows, it might be the end of petitions too?… won?’t that be a pleasant surprise?!?!

If VT has the business parks to build and it's in the school district we all win. If they don't then it was just further posturing.

I say the same - let's split and move in our seperate directions. It's a divorce long overdue!
