Near death experience
I think we all need to get in tone with what is happening here in the city. On the Finance Committee agenda is a discussion of an annexation. I think that is the 3 acres on Wright road that the township tried to sucker the city into forming a JEDD there. So next week (March 15th) the annexation issue will be discussed.
Then we still have the master development agreement that will be discussed at Service on March 19th at 7:30 PM. Both of these agreements I understand want to give even more of the city's future revenues away to the trustee's general fund with nothing in return for the City money. If you folks that live in the city and pay its taxes you all might want to get to these two meeting and give them all your two cents in the debate.
This also points out why the citizens of Pickerington must support the new initiative that council voted to place on the May ballot. If this section would have been in the City Charter then none of this nightmare would be occurring now.
I also wanted to congratulate Mr. Barletta on his letter and also for becoming the Treasurer of the Citizens Protecting our Rights. They are a newly formed PAC to promote the initiative and the charter amendment. I believe the CPR will bring the city back from almost financial death. Please send a check or what you can to CPR; 671 Montmorency Drive South, Pickerington. Ohio 43147
No amount is too small.
