So, in other words......
The city found no reason not to accept the petitions? If they are sending them to the board of elections, does that mean that once the number of signatures is met, this will actually and really become an issue???
Please say it's so!

Who you goin vote for?
Once the signatures are verified by the BOE the City Finance Director has until late August to send the issue to the ballot. When it is sent it, is entirely in the hands of the Finance Director. If the majority of council rescinds the ordinance and passes a new version then the issue will NOT appear on the November ballot (See Times-Sun yesterday).
It appears that the Trustees are playing games here and they are waiting until they see if the signatures are verified before making their next move. I think we should all remind these trustees that they are the city elected officials and they we vote for them just like we vote for the city council members. They have NEVER had any allegiance to the City voters in the past. Maybe we should let our voices be heard and remind them.

HELP!!
My Times-Sun was not delivered yesterday. The kid is only prompt when it is 72 and dry. Their website is not updated.
DO TELL! What did the T-S say about repeal/revote? You know and I know it going to happen. I just wonder what the press makes of it.

maybe they are listening
I think maybe they are listening to you, maybe if it passes muster, they will reconsider their position on the length of term, annexation restrictions and the ridiculous amount of income tax sharing they want...or they can just approach canal.
It is not sin to dream.
