Yesterday around 4:45, saw a County salt truck, not a Violet salt/plow truck on Refugee Rd. from Milner to somewhere east and then return back down Refugee heading west. We pay Violet and County taxes, but don't get the same services. Did Violet or the County do anything for the incorporated areas re: snow removal? Don't we have all of this government cooperation. We've been reminded over and over of the love fest.
Since J can make demands on this website and now we know you read it, why don't you, J, please let us know why no one at city hall is asking for our fair share. Put some demands on Violet/County and maybe you wouldn't have to make demands on this site. Don't want more, or less, just our fair share. Could it be brought up at the next service committee or council meeting? I'll look for the minutes.
The schools ask for more and we give. Property tax bills come and we give. So now we're asking for services paid in advance and let's see what they'll give. I'll bet nothing if we don't ask. Before we start thinking about an ecoageement, how about we correct these inequities first. You'll probably find out just what future negotiations will bring.
