Put this to rest

I do not think anyone really knows what is going on with the Economic Agreement passed in January, including Council. Off the cuff comments are made, but it is not being discussed. Council, along with the mayor, need to sit down like grown men and women put it on the agenda and discuss this like adults. With the new 5 way agreement just passed, the Violet/Picktown agreement needs to be recinded, plain and simple. Problem is, ego's are involved. Just recind the darn thing, the referendum is null and void because there is no agreement to referend and move on. The initiative is set to go on the May ballot. Some may feel it is restricting Council, but considering who is holding those seats right now, they need to be restricted.

All that can be said about this ill-fated econagreement has been said. Council and the trustees spoke. The residents spoke and called Shaver/Fix/Weltlich/Dunlap's hand. It now goes to a vote.

The government is wavering signfigantly. Nothing more of value can or will be said.

How about we change the topic of discussion to ''What else has this council accompished?''

That will be a real short discussion.
