I see in the SE Messenger there is an article about the charter amendment.
I notice quotes for the issue from 2 council people and a citizen. Also, there are 2 editorials supporting the issue.
One council person is against the amendment. His highlighted quotes says the charter amendment is forever. Is this true?
I thought there was a charter review committee that met every 10 years. Can't they change it if needed?
He also says we would be tying the hands of council forever. Is this true?
I was under the impression we would be able to vote for the related issues. How does the voters having a say tie council's hands?
He says he thinks that's a huge mistake. If neither is true, then how can it be a mistake?

You are right
Council can convene a charter review commission every 10 years or sooner if needed. Yes, a charter review commission can recommend that this issue be taken out of the charter. Whatever charter changes a commission comes up with has to go to the voters.
Beware of a Fix in sheep's clothing. Remember that the Fix chairs Rules committee and Rules is where charter changes originate if originating from council and remember that Rules will choose the review commission. Perhaps if Charles Elsea's law career gets derailed over him being a sacrificial lamb in the elections ivestigation, he'll have the time to sit on a review commission.
Hell hath no fury like a NW Republican scorned.

Desperate Times
Call for deperate acts. And were seeing it now. Measure a man's character how he acts during these times.
Sabatino's charater is very, very strong.
Haven't heard a peep from Council President Smith, former Council President Riggs, Hammond, or the Mayor regarding the isssue. You decide.

Fix's Follies
This is again is one of the more recent lies being spread by Fix. The council by a two thirds vote can place on the ballot a charter amendment. A charter amendment can be put on the ballot with a citizen's group circulating a petition and collecting the 410 valid signatures.
Then there is the charter review commission. That commission can be set up at any time. It is required every ten years. I would also WARN everyone that Fix is going to stuff to citizens when HE makes proposed charter amendments next year and he is not calling for a Charter Review commission. It is extremely important to the future of Pickerington that we remove FIX from council. We have already seen his willingness to give away the city's rights and he is working on that right now. His handlers (Gary) are working to hog tie the city. I would suggest to the YES on 9 group to start your recall petitions NOW.
I also wanted to comment on the 300 acres ''that might be available in the future''. Here again the Jeff Fix's carrot that doesn't exist. Jeff where is the 300 acres you keep talking about? Here again you have nothing to back up your claims and pure speculations only rumor and hype for some young kids now.
