Traffic; The real story

Posted in: PATA
The manager says one of the issues left to resolve is traffic issues. It's my understanding the technology is available and the city has seen it. It's my understanding that funding is there. Then why don't they get it.

''IT'' is a traffic management system that the city has been aware of for several years that is proven to help flow by reading the number of cars in different directions and the software adjusts the lights accordingly. There are benefits that when the emergency vehicles throw out the timing, this system restores timing.
Why don't we have it? Please oh please service chairwoman Hammond, Please tell us students why it's not on your radar? Or better yet, at $105,000.00 per year why doesn't the mayor demand the manager tell us?

Cameras at Hill & 256

Isn't the technology, to which you are referring, in place at the intersection of Hill Rd. and 256 (Columbus St.)? No longer do left turn arrows appear when there are no cars waiting to make left turns. The cameras/technology are a big improvement over what was there before.
It works

Yes. Why are we waiting?
