At the finance meeting tonight, there will be discussion and probably a vote on the 3 acre JEDD. It'll probably pass 3 to 1. Smith, Hammond, and Fix fur it an' Sabatino agin it.

As a signer of the petition, why would they not wait until May's vote before they proceed?

Grab the handle on your recliner, kick your feet up and watch the show. Don't worry about turning the volume up on your set. You won't hear Hammond anyway. She probably won't be saying anything other than nodding at Mr. Fix's giving up income tax.

Tax dollars at work

Dear petition carriers,signers and residents,

Please be advised that the city will probably be spending your tax dollars on telling you why not to vote for the initiative or the referendum. At finance tonight, it's my understanding, that the mayor gave direction to the manager to start some kind of public education program. I will get back to you with the details and exact info a little later. The meeting is still underway. I think they're in a backroom now discussing the manager's raise or contract. (More of that kum by ya stuff.)

Oh my

The owner or one of the owners of the 3 acre proposed JEDD property showed up at finance last night. He came in because he hasn't seen the propsed JEDD contract offered by the township to the city!! He said he's only read about it in the paper!! No wonder the township is proposing the annexation.

Somebody please get me a roll of paper towels so I can wipe the egg off of a lot of people's faces. This is an embarassment to the township, council, mayor and especially the city manager.
