Smith endorsement
Sounds like Keith Smith is endorsing Riggs for Mayor.
Anyone want to bet that he jumps ship in the last few weeks before Election Day? That's been his M.O. in the past.

LEADERSHIP????
Responses to Heidi Riggs running for Mayor of Pickerington in the Lancaster Eagle Gazette. Like PATA they don't use their names.

What does Riggs as Mayor have to offer the citizens of Pickerington?
My prognostication is 4 more years of David Shaver like Politics.
Riggs has been a blind follower of David Shaver and his policies and iniatives, and has publicly stated so in the Columbus Dispatch.
Riggs is and probably will continue to be an operative for the Fix Shaver
concerns at City Hall. What leadership qualities have been established in her time on Council? Riggs says she wants to NOW engage the public,
what a departure from her record. One of the current Mayor's shortcomings is in appearances, grand openings, etc. Now look at Rigg's council & committee attendance records. Not very impressive. Most of the grand openings, ribbon cuttings occur during the work day, how will that work with her new job?
What we need in a Mayor is someone who will present a positive image about Pickerington, be present for ALL the ribbon cuttings, grand openings etc, and be a uniter of everything dealing with the public image of Pickerington. I admit there currently is a low threshold to surpass to show improvement of the performance of David Shaver, but hopefully someone else will run that better matches the needs of Pickerington.
It is time for change in Pickerington Politics. Riggs is not a change agent but represents a continuation of the current administration.
God help us all if there is no other choice.

Heidi preaches a good game but needs people behind the scenes telling her what to say and do. She's a good-ol buddy Republican tied to the Lancaster crew and county party but she's has a Democrat running her campaign.
We need original thoughts and someone concerned about the city of Pickerington not another clone.
Thanks but no thanks Ms. Riggs.

Heidi on vacation
I deserve to be the MAYOR.
A blonde gets on an airplane and sits down in the first class section of the plane. The stewardess rushes over to her and tells her she must move to coach because she doesn't have a first class ticket. The blonde replies, ''I'm blonde, I'm smart, I have a good job, and I'm staying in first class until we reach Jamaica.''
The disgusted stewardess gets the head stewardess who asks the blonde to leave. The blonde yet again repeats ''I'm blonde, I'm smart, I have a good job and I'm staying in first class until we reach Jamaica.'' The head stewardesses doesn't even know what to do at this point because they still have to get the rest of the passengers seated to take off; the blonde is causing a problem with boarding now, so the stewardess gets the copilot.
The copilot goes up to the blonde and whispers in her ear. She immediately gets up and goes to her seat in the coach section. The head stewardess asks the copilot in amazement what he said to get her to move to her correct seat. The copilot replies, ''I told her the front half of the airplane wasn't going to Jamaica.''
I am sure that Heidi wants to be the pilot and takes us all to Jamaica!!

Heidi Riggs
Riggs, 42, is a human resource manager for RDP Foodservice. She has also worked for the Ohio Attorney General's office and was the human resources director for the Ohio Secretary of State's office. She has served on various city council committees, including finance, safety, rules, service, and parks and recreation.
I know blondes have more fun and they struggle with Math. However when a person runs for public office shouldn't they tell the truth about their age? For the brunettes out there Heidi was born in 1963.
I think the Editor needs to make sure their cub reporter checks his facts first.
