Issue 9 is about the petition that was passed around in January. There were two parts to that petition. Part one was to stop The Economic Developement Plan, and two was to make sure they don't do it again. The current Economic Developement Plan has not been repealed, it takes three readings and they have only had one reading.
The vote on issue 9 is Tuesday, and the next two readings take place after the vote.
The same council that is against this petition, are the ones that want Pickerington to be dublin.
Sure it makes it harder on council to get into economic developement plans, that was the point. Next time when they want to give away our money and rights they have to ask us. Council can not have one meeting with three readings and give that away again without us (the residents) permission.
