I hear that the Mayor opened the Violet Festival standing high atop a green dumpster proclaiming his innocence in discarding PRIVATE client information onto a public street and other wise unsecured and unprotected from prying eyes. To make his point he has a large sign on the dumpster stating ''WHAT RECORDS''?
He also lectured for 10 minutes on the youth of this country and how they never seem to understand or never can follow directions. He presented awards to the busy body residents who live downtown and who were too lazy to pick up trash blowing around in their yards earlier this month. He pointed out the evils of calling the press and having them exploit the City officials during sweeps month.
Finally he hoped all would enjoy the Violet Festival even though he detests the event. He announced that he was going to open a booth for non-witnesses to the paper and or the TV coverage of the dumpster full of his discarded documents. After one night he had no-one sign up. I would advise those that did see the dumpster or those that have first hand knowledge of the trash and documents blowing around town on or after July 8th to seek cover in the witness protection program.
