PATA traditions?

So the tradition of PATA is results, not the tactic? Thanks for letting us know what ''PATA'' has been all these years. Make it up and the sheep will follow YOUR truth.

And what are the results? More division than ever? Cooperation? Just tell us where it is.

Who even knows what the truth is anymore.
We can't even tell a car crash from a curb.

Telling the truth about our risk

Well the tradition was set some time ago. It allowed two people to write and publish information on different subjects affecting our community. They talked about development as an example, that neither Bob nor Jeff knew much about it. Although to hear them talk and read their findings(??) you would think they were experts on the subject. In fact every subject they tackled you would think they were experts. They purposely drove a wedge into the community and many of those same issues are here today. In their newsletter they constantly inferred that those people running the city were crooks and they had very little proof on any of their accusations. I will give you the argument that there were some very poor decisions made during this time period. I will also tell you there may have been some unethical behavior among some of those elected and appointed officials but it seems to be no different from what I see going on at City Hall now.

It is one thing to write about issues as a private citizen in your own newsletter. It is another thing to write and sign your name with the credulity of the City Council on the line and that better darn well be truthful. Once you are labeled a liar by the public and you can't be trusted then your effectiveness is damaged.

Is personal attacks against our elected officials proper? Well folks it started here by the very target of those attacks. I have a campaign literature piece that Fix handed out in the summer of 2005. He went after then three sitting council members and tried to put them all in the same pot. Telling the truth then and now has not been one of Jeff Fix's strong suits. He blamed a lot of the previous decisions on Mike but Mike wasn't on Council at the time of Fix's attack and so on. Now he fully admits that tactics are not the issue. I think a lot of us believe lying is the issue. Now he has persuaded more people into telling lies and with huge exaggerations to get his way. He had a sitting councilwomen state under oath that she supported the statement in his campaign flyer when she had publicly denied it in the paper the week before.

I will tell you the information coming out in just the newspaper and on this web site in much more accurate than what Fix signed his name to a few years ago in this newsletter.

Lying is unethical period!!!

I remember him and Bob gong after Maxey for saying he had meet with Dunlap on zoning. Apparently just like the JEDD being offered there is always some kind of break down between the township trustees and the city. The trustees add in their comments and then wonder why they get resistance from the elected people of the city. Bob and Jeff always took the side of the trustees and NEVER questioned their motives or their actions. Jeff is doing that to this very day. The trustees have got a free ride for years now and I think before this community can move forward we are going to need to talk about the real issues and not how we all want to cooperate in one big family. We are going to need to settle who pays the bills first and not come out with some pie in the sky FIX that risks public money for the sake of pseudo financial security.
