State report card

The state's report card for schools comes out August 14. Does anyone know how Pickerington schools fared? I do. Here's a hint - ''Help keep our schools excellent'' won't be a slogan for the upcoming levy campaign.

Does anyone remember when the Curriculum Director resigned and the board decided to ''cut costs'' by not filling the position and giving the duties to the Human Resources Director? Maybe, in retrospect, that wasn't such a good idea.

The silence also speaks volumes. School officials already know their state ratings. The Dispatch had an article in Monday's paper on the Columbus Public Schools state report card.

When the news is positive, school leaders are anxious to get to the media with the results.

Pickerington board members and supporters read this website. Their unwillingness to reply to this posting is ominous.
