I heard some bits and pieces about an incident at a recent home Central football game where there was a altercation in which one person had a hand gun. Police were involved, but it is being ekpt very quiet.

Is there any truth to this or merely rumour?

The incident in question is largely just rumor.

During the Pickerington - Reynoldsburg game a number of thugs from another nearby school came into Tiger stadium with the sole purpose of causing trouble. Unfortunately a number of Central kids were happy to accomodate them. There were a few pushing matches and punches thrown. The Police and some other managed to get them herded out of the stadium and into the parking lot were the melee began again. A couple of the punks were arrested and I believe a police officer was punched which resulted in a call going out that an officer needed assistance. Before you know it, there are police responding from Pickerington, Reynoldsburg, Sheriffs, and Highway patrol.

No gun charges have been filed on anyone that I am aware of and I have talked to several football boosters about this incident.
