Leadership

Ronni,

Great posting. I know Mitch, too. What you are describing regarding his character I have also witnessed.

What you are describing is leadership by example.

The mayor's office obviously needs character but more importantly this city needs leadership by example.

Our current mayor has tarnished his personal reputation possibly beyond repair. That is a burden for him and his family to bear. He has tarnished the reputation of the mayor?’s office and we need someone like Mitch to restore trust, honor, dignity and respect to the office and the elected body of our city.

We don?’t need a perky, big-toothed, pom-pom waving cheerleader to represent us. We need someone to lead this city by example, not direction.

Ronni, you and I are both women. Would you simply vote for a candidate because she is also a woman? I hope not. That is never reason enough. I know the cheerleader will draw a lot of votes solely for that reason so I look to all of the women reading this forum to consider what we really need and vote for Mitch O?’Brien.

Fancy, don't let us down

As I was driving to work this morning I heard this old Reba McIntire ballad and guess who popped into my head?

Mayoral candidate Fancy Riggs

Here is part of the song:

It sounded like somebody else that was talkin'
Askin' Mama what do I do
She said be nice to the gentlemen Fancy
And they'll be nice to you
She said here's your one chance Fancy don't let me down
the truth

The truth is important to the public. Your perceptions are only important to you.
