VOTE no to City TAX give away
Why does the township feel they deserve any cut in the Pickerington City income tax. The whole idea to annex is to get City services. If the property owner could get those service in the township why annex?
As far as I know the township has not provide one dime for these services (water, sewer and the widening of Diley Road). Why should the city taxpayers be expensed even more by handing over their hard earned money (that would have been going toward the debt service of the above mentioned infrastructures)? Now we have the elected people getting back into the mix. That should work well. Shaver should maintain his status as a lame duck and stay out of it. His time would be better spent picking up documents blowing around town.
I am going to pay attention to who supports this give away of my tax dollars and vote for their opponents.

Show the residents the numbers
What is the length of Stemen Road to be maintained/plowed? What are the average costs for truck usage/ maintenance per mile, salt/crack filling per mile, etc.? How hard can it be?
If the township wants reimbursed for the zoning/legal fees, they should have let the city zone it. But this was probably in the works already behind the scenes and it was the easiset way to get it zoned because the residents there would have fought it, had the city needed to zone it. Now it appears it's time for the payback to the township for zoning it under their radar.
They've been paid handsomely already to the tune of over 200k for what services again? I don't remember. Imagine if this was 200+ acres with 3-4 government entities. The lawyers would not be able to count all their money in this lifetime.
If Forest Gump was running, I'd vote for him. Simple is as simple does.

Dirty little secret
This is crap politics. The township already plows that side of Stemen Road in exchnage for the city plowing the Long and Diley roads where it runs in and out of the city. No agreement just mutual cooperation. Now the politicians are getting into the mix.
Maybe the city should send them a bill for Long and Diley and we are all even Steven.
