You are correct in your assessment of what the City taxpayers are about to face. The Trustees have THEIR MAJORITY on council now and that majority will be very beholding to the Welilich/Fix group. There are ways to get around the Mayor veto.

The city is getting closer to paying the bill for the DIley Road widening and the sewer plant expansion and there will be NO dollars coming into that debt service from the township. Any commercial development these two projects generate over the next 10 years will be shared by the township. The titans of business who are now in cahrge of the Finances of the City are for the sake of cooperation will begin to turn your tax dollars over to the township for their own political future. I think our ankles will be red from holding them so tight with our hands.
