This is very odd to me. This guy signs on to be trustee, then moves on to wanting to be commissioner. Why not let somebody who wants to be trustee run, then come back and run for comissioner. Sounds like he just wants power to me.
How many years has he been a trustee? 8? And what has he accomplished? How many jobs has he brought to the Pickerington area? Watch for more campaign rhetoric to follow.
I guess he was involved in getting the township part of Pickerington's income tax from 3 acres that ultimately annexed to Pickerington. Who was that an accomplishment for?
He supported David Shaver and Jeff Fix. Not really shining stars, if you ask me. So I ask, why vote for him?

I hope he spends all of it
Why vote for a jerk that thinks just becuase he has run twice with no opposition that the citzens are satisfied with his preformance. He will have opposition with Judy Shupe who apparently hurt poor Gary'd feeling telling him he was dumb as a rock.

Bully in a China shop
Yesterday a friend faxed me a copy of a Gary Weltlich's campaign card urging people to vote for him.
What strikes me is that Weltlich says he is semi-retired and never says how old he is. He also goes on for ever telling the world how great he was in turning around businesses and all of this is ''take my word for it folks.''
His performance as a Township trustee may impress those that live in the in the unincorporated areas of the township but what about those of us he has taken money from to serve his township people. He was able to bully a Mayor that tried desperately to avoid conflict and a wannbe big shot councilman to give away the store to the township. He also claims to listen and represent everyone. That simply is a lie.
Judging by the newspaper reports and comments Judy Shupe knows more about what it takes from a government perspective to provide for economic growth than Weltlich ever did.
We all must be aware of the fact that the ''Fairfield 33- Alliance'' is beginning to gel and that effort has taken years to form and create. I personally know some of the people that have been directly involved with the creation of this alliance and all of them tell me Weltlich is a less than desirable person in the group.
I believe the group covers all of the locals and its numbers are in the 30 to 50 member area. Mr. Weltlich's ego gets in his way and when he can't baffle them with his B.S. then he gets mad and tries to intimidate the others to get his way. If the voting public is stupid enough to elect Gary Weltlich as commissioner then this group will splinter soon there after.
The poorly thought out JEDD agreement that Weltlich takes full credit for doesn't measure up to its billing. Weltlich is demanding for the townships their cut up front. The party of five that is involved with this JEDD also get cuts in a couple of decades or so but no one including the county will invest in swamp land down along U.S. 33. This agreement will set the PLSD back years and Violet Twp even more. Gary Weltlich and David Shaver are two peas in a pod and react exactly alike in meetings and in their negotiating skills. Once you pull the bully card out on this alliance they will walk.

Gary is a fool.
How many time have people heard him utter the pathetic, ''all is quiet, all is calm'', when asked about the state of the township. He thinks we are all a bunch of idiots and he can impress us with his bull crap.
He cares nothing about the city of Pickerington. He is convinced that the world revolves around the township and will cling to that notion to his dying day.
DO NOT VOTE FOR THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A PUBLIC SERVANT!
