I'll bet the new mayor saves enough money in his first three months in office to pay the part timer for his entire 4 year term. What's the difference in the interim city manager's pay versus what was being paid?

Our new mayor chose NOT to accept health insurance through the city, unlike our last Mayor, so those savings could be applied to the part-time assistant position.

Also noteworthy is our last mayor used his own private secretary to perform most of city-work so he didn't need to use one from the city.

Just a few things our TWIP crack-reporter forgot to mention, but then again bitter losers didn't bother to tell him that and he was too lazy to find out anything for himself!

I think it is in extremely poor taste to interview the former mayor of Pickerington regarding decisions made by the current mayor. Did Shaver talk to O'Brien and then speak for him? I also think it was in poor taste to put a city staff member on the spot with the questions he asked her. Thank goodness she was professional enough to provide ''just the facts ma'am''.

If you have noticed, the This Week in Pickerington rag has dwindled to only one section. No more News section and Sports section. What I think you are seeing here is the dying gasps of a media source on the verge of extinction.

Mayor O'Brien has spent now, I hear, two full days in the office getting to know staff and trying his best to earn their trust and respect. Unlike former mayors, he has chosen to follow his upbringing and earn then rather than demand them.

Despite the offerings of a rank amateur reporter for a dying newspaper and his obvious manipulation by the likes of Riggs and Fix, I THINK WE PICKED A WINNER FOLKS!!!

Congratulations to us for a change.

Yeah, here's a guy who openly betrayed his clients with his ''Dumpstergate'' and wouldn't offer a single comment other than ''Some high school kid did it'' now having numerous comments about someone whom he also betrayed with his ''reeks of Maxey'' comments two years ago.

Go quietly into the night former Mayor or we will get the goods that Miss Heidi and Gentleman Jeff have and use them as they threatened. And to those two, go quietly into the night, too. Your race has run its course. We chose to not have people like you lead our great city.
