I'm hearing rumors that Diley Road is closing soon - date I heard was April 7th.
When is detour information going to be posted?
I'm hoping it's sometime prior to April 7th...
Shouldn't this be in all the local papers? Or the City's website? If it's there it's not in a place easy to find. Can someone post a link?

Open your eyes
Dead center on the city website is the link to the Diley Road information. You can't miss it. Well, maybe you did.
I'm sure as probably city hall hasn't opened yet, the information you are looking for will be posted today.

Travel between 10 and 2
I believe you are correct that Diley Road will be closed at the rail road tracks starting around April 7th. I believe it will remain closed for a few weeks while they widen the crossing for Diley Road.
I also understand that there will be a second closing for the peat bog dig near Preston Trails and where it floods regularly. I heard that closing will last for 30 days. No date yet.
Finally the culvert near the northern end of the project will close for 30 days for replacement. TBA
These closings will happen at different times. so over the next two years I would find alternate routes to work and school or what ever.

You're right (kind of)
Well - you were right the Diley Rd Project is in the middle of the home page - click on it & it tells you they are expanding the road - very informative.
Click on the link for detour information & that is equally as lame. See for yourself:
Diley Road Project
Road Closings & Detour Schedules
The first closing is scheduled for April 1 thru 30 +/-. The second closing is scheduled for May 5 thru June 2 +/-, These dates may change do to weather. We will be maintaining access to all areas through the detours.
A more detailed schedule will be available in the very near future.
Hello - it's the day before some unidentified part of Diley is closed & you want to give the city a gold star for telling us what? NOTHING? How about a detour route 24 hours prior to the closure? Too much to expect? Someone on this site heard the closure started at the railroad tracks - I heard it was south of Columbus St.
People deserve to be informed.
