Reminded me of...

When I saw her picture in the paper it made me remember a New Testament verse.

Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

... that they may be seen of men.... They have their reward.

Seems to fit this situation perfectly.

Give the lady a break? I wonder if the lady would have given blood if her pictiure wasn't going to be in the paper? I wonder if she would have shown up to pick up trash if her picture, well, you get the point. This looks like the start of her campaign to be appointed to the trustee seat that might be open next January?

What is the TOWNSHIP HOME RULE on appointing to a term with three years left on it? Pickerington City Council passed something like if there is more than 18 months left in the term, it goes back to the electorate. Why didn't the trustess do something similar around the same time? They could have used their HOME RULE powers to mirror the city on things like this and impact fees. Now that they're HOME RULE that is, my achin' _ _ _!

I hear what you're saying, she is a media erohw (you do the unscramble).

My only point is that her pint of blood, given for whatever reason, has the potential to save 3 lives -- and that my friend is a good thing.

That's my only point.

Getting on the same page

Giving blood is a good thing. Exploiting it is another. We all do good deeds, at different times for different reasons. Don't question the deed, just the reason.
