Wake up people !!!
This might be your last chance to speak your mind in support of or against this JEDD proposal. Mayor O'Brien is being quite accommodating in continuing the public hearing when so few people (or just the same people) ever show up to discuss it. Personally, I see no benefit to the city in any way other than politically appearing to cooperate. My concerns lie mostly in what I read in the papers about the 33 Growth Alliance. I think they have the only viable plan to develop the area and a JEDD is not a marketing tool that will in any way help them and will most likely hinder their plans. I have to work tonight so I can't attend but hope others will.

Real bad deal
If Mr. Weltlich really cares about our community and its well being then would support an effort to merge Pickerington and Violet Township and only that part located within the Pickerington School district. It would solve every problem these advocates for this JEDD contract have and make the school district much more competitive in attracting commercial development. Once we are locked into this 90 year contract the other parties will hold us to it. The only parity it really affects is Pickerington. It is time we open our eyes to the real truth here and at the very least listen to the pros and cons of the contract.
