What's the purpose of a primary?
I listen to these postings and am amazed.
What's the purpose of a primary other than to find the best repbulican candidate?
Are you suggesting that we should line up behind an endorsed candidate at a primary? Isn't there any free thought allowed. Do you think Republican's should be a bunch of sheep? Quite frankly - I take a good look at endorsed candidates but make up my own mind.
It's any registered voter's God given right to run for elected office - any elected office. We aren't in the second grade anymore & the first one there gets to call :dibs''. That's what a primary election is for.
Geesh !!!

Still doesn't justify
As the secretery of the Fairfield County Republican Party, you should not have supported a Democrat for Pickerington City Council. Then brag about it on this site. Same on you.

All about Fix's ego
Fix you left the NW Republican club in shambles in 2005 when you decided to run for the Pickerington City Council. By the time of your last minute exit from the club, which violated the club constitution, you had lit the fuse and it blew up right after you started all of the back biting and hate against other members of the club and the party. You seem proud of the 70 members and the Reagan dinner. You forgot to say that you promised in early 2005 that you would not fund any candidate for office and you turn around and accept $250 for your election to council. Not only did the club give you money but every candidate this side of US 33 received money from the club. It was like a farmer eating his seed corn. The club never again had enough money to put on a Reagan Dinner. THANK YOU JEFF. Most of the officers in the club were part of your 2005 campaign staff and your fund raisers. I think you referred to them as the best and the brightest. Leaving the club gutted the club turned into a bitch session group complaining NO ONE WOULD JOIN THE CLUB. I don?’t think they even have enough members to hold meetings now.
When Steve Davis took over the county Republican party in 2004 there were around 120 precincts and 117 of those positions were filled. That is to say that 97.5% of the county precincts were interested and active. Today with Fix and Davis in charge that participation rate has dropped to 77%. Remember that 2004 and 2008 are presidential election years and that rate should be very high. I heard that only 61 central committee members bothered to show to vote. It showed that the vote was rigged and the slate of Fix and Davis would prevail. The percentage of those that showed up is 48%. So Fix and Davis were voted into the leadership of the Republican county party by a minority of the central committee.
I guess we need to call Fix ?“landside Jeff?” from now on.
I have never been to a party meeting but I hear that the back biting continues today. Clearly if Kasich plans to run for governor he is going to need more than the established party of Fix and Davis to win Faifield County. I doubt John will tolerate a letter from Fix full of lies and distortions.
I think we should not forget that Fix has burnt out the local Republicans and in last year?’s city council race he had to find a Democrat to run for council (no Pickerington Republicans were willing to associate with him). He even admitted that he acted as her campaign manager. Obviously he wrote her campaign materials.
Fix can say what he wants but the facts are very clear to most of us.

Tie them to the party
Mr. Fix claims that the Republicans hold the majority but fails to mention that some of those republicans on the Lancaster City Council have distanced themselves from the current leadership of the county party. Those close to the county party leadership were bounced out of office.
Carl Tatman long time central committee member and the chairman the last two election cycles. OUT ON HIS EAR. 57% to 43%.
Ann Kitzmiller had the party?’s big guns (Senator Schaffer) on her side and she only won by TWO votes in a recount.
Remember Steve Jackson? He was Brian Fox?’s man and buddy. He certainly isn?’t part of the party leadership and not anyone?’s friend in the current party regime.
Who knows John Zekas? He has been on the Lancaster Council long before Davis and Fix arrived. He is not part of the current party regime and he was re-elected.
The one surprise here is Bob Hedges. He came in third in the at large councilman and he has been part of the leadership and central committee for a few years.
So Fix I think even you can figure it out. Next year the Democrats need to tie their Republican opponents to you and Davis and they take the majority.
