Sitting in my hands till then

I do not believe that the solution to our mutual politic problems will be solved by the state party. Bob Bennett lost control of the party some time ago. I think where he started to fail was first they endorsed McAuliffe for the Fairfield County Municipal Judge and within a week he was indicted for arson. Then came the Governor Taft fiasco where the governor is convicted of election and ethics charges only to stay in office the remainder of his term. No I don't think expecting help from the state will come anytime soon.
What will happen is that Fairfield County a strong hold for the Republicans for years will lose this fall and the party will need fresh and new blood to run its affairs. In 2004, the current regime in power took over after the McAuliffe scandal and soon there after appointed themselves the moral police. That policing of the Republican party needs some further adjustments.
Clearly the base of this group started here in the Pickerington area. They formed the NW club only to see their grip on things erode away. Those remaining members used their little club to bash others in the party and to guide it to the benefit of those running the party today. Clearly Fix, Sauer, and Davis have encouraged others in the party to run against incumbents only to split the party over the long run. They have chose to endorse (from the county level) those running in primaries only to see tens of thousands of local dollars wasted by our Republican incumbents against other so called Republicans. Not only has this wasted a bunch of local Republican monies it has also caused hard feelings among the different factions of the party. Clearly if you have ever read some of the material that people like Fix have put out you will understand the reason for the split in the party. Example is: that Weltlich was trying to accuse Shupe of accepting vendor monies and selling her votes to the highest bidder. Clearly that was untrue but that doesn't do anything for party unity during a presidential election year. Now they are running around looking for supporters wanting to have everyone forgive and forget. You know we all just wasted $50,000 in the county Commissioner's race alone. Of course that is fine from those that are screwing everything up and they are in charge.
What they are really saying is that their own party members and elected officials were doing a poor job or they were corrupt so we will recruit and bring Democrats to straighten things out and move forward. The fact is that our city and our county are in a quagmire with this JEDD thing and the need for the city to raise its income taxes. The JEDD will require even more expenditures from the city treasury and they will try to get as much as they can this time out. It will be lead with a few letters of distortion from Fix only to be followed with a fear letter on what we are about to lose if this tax fails. All done by amateurs.
I believe the income tax issue will fail and this group that made itself the catalyze to be the young republicans and those with the immaturity to lead will find itself in the cross hairs of the next election.
Clearly to overthrow the party leaders and take over we will need to find people in all sections of the county that are willing to run for central committee and to vote in NEW LEADERS to run the party in 2010.
We need a party willing to be involved with all of the Republicans in the county not those deemed to be moral on what the Fairfield Christian Church says is morality. In the mean time we shall sit on our collective hands and wait for the party to take its nose dive this fall. Be ready to start the recruiting November 7th.
