I see where the city will need to reinforce their traffic signal posts on the major intersections in the city. They are making plans to hang so much equipment on the posts that there are fears that these post will not withstand the weigh or any amount of wind.

The traffic light cameras will snap so many pictures that it will look like Oscar night on the red carpet when you drive through the yellow lights. Not only will there be still pictures but video of your trip to where ever. Not only will you be looked at for running the red light but you better have your seat belt on. I hear they will shorten the yellow time from the township and stick it to the township residents trying to not stop on the right turn on red. The city will be rolling in the dough.

Once your tempers settle from the traffic light cameras they will fire up the speeding cameras and take your pictures while you are driving down the road over the speed limit. If you think it takes a long time to get to I-70 in the mornings now just wait. Everyone will go very slow so to not run lights and not trip the speed detectors.

Ticket cameras do not improve safety.

Despite the claims of companies that sell ticket cameras and provide related services, there is no independent verification that photo enforcement devices improve highway safety, reduce overall accidents, or improve traffic flow. Believing the claims of companies that sell photo enforcement equipment or municipalities that use this equipment is like believing any commercial produced by a company that is trying to sell you something.

Taking dangerous drivers' pictures doesn't stop them.

Photo enforcement devices do not apprehend seriously impaired, reckless or otherwise dangerous drivers. A fugitive could fly through an intersection at 100 mph and not even get his picture taken, as long as the light was green
