Other cities buying pools

I see where Gahanna bought their privatly owned pool for around $630,000 last week. Apparently cities around the outer belt are investing in swimming pools for parks and rec. Despite Pickerington having an issue with their landscape contractor I am sure it will be a valuable asset to the city and the area residents in the future.

Well see what the future brings

Love your optimism. But if pools were/are profitable, there'd be many more of them. Look at all that are closed in other cities or are in a financial watch. If Picktown is so financially strapped like the reports say, will this be the first to lose funding if not self sustaining? Remember, Brian Suaer said he would not support funding if it was not self sustaining.
