Here is a link to an article about the fine work the Pickerington Police are doing in our community.

Too bad that some council members fail to see this as a benefit to Pickerington and want nothing more than to sell our cops down the river and bring in their buddies from the county.

I am very grateful that Commander Ralph is working toward a task force to deal with these abductions. I know that I am getting tired of them myself.

Just the other evening I was asleep in my bed and the entire room was dark until I heard that familiar whine and the room was full of light. Here we go again I thought. Under my bed I keep an aluminum foil sleeping bag but I had forgot to crawl into it that night. Sure enough I forget one night and they found me again.

Hoping that I still had enough time to disappear (so to speak) I crawled into my foil sleeping bag to shield myself from their sensors and detectors. I lay there motionless. Hoping they would all go away. However I did discover a design flaw in my foil sleeping bag when I zipped it up and covered my head and nose. The damn thing is air tight. In total darkness I was trying to find the zipper to allow me some air and then the revenge of the tacos struck. I thought I was going to die!

After gasping for what seemed like hours (I know it to only be minutes) I finally found the zipper and tried to unlock it and unzip the bag. By then I was taking huge gasps of breathe and the bag was violently expanding and contracting making it even more difficult to unlock or to even hold onto the zipper. I then had to hold my breathe for a brief moment or two and that was helped with the remains of the taco that had mixed with the air in the bag.

I grabbed the zipper and I was able to open a small hole to at least get a ?“fresh?” breathe of air. To my relief the room was now dark and the whining sound had gone away. Feeling safe I opened the zipper even further only to find two large green eyes staring me in the face. The eyes came very close and finally what a relief when I felt a lick on my forehead. Apparently the cat was interested in the taco smell.

Believing that they had gone I went to the window to see for myself. Sure enough there half way into my front yard was the neighbor?’s truck stuck in a snow bank with his headlights pointing directly at my bedroom window. He knows about the 4 wheel drive but didn?’t now about the 4 wheel stop.

My night of terror seemed to have been over this time, but I know they will return one day and I must fix that foil bag. So I request that if anyone sees lights in the sky at night and they are unsure what they are, please notify Commander Ralph. For some reason my cell phone doesn?’t work in the foil bag. I wonder where my cat is?

Priceless

I needed a good laugh on a frosty morning with frozen pipes and a car that won't start. Thanks for reminding me not to take myself too seriously!
