Tax increase??? 75% credit No!

Ted, your own hypocrisy is what's getting you into trouble. You make snide comments or references to people who post anonymously and yet you do the exact same thing when it fits you.

Your bitterness towards Jeff is making you look like a fool no matter what Jeff is doing or has done. He is 1 of 7 votes on council and I doubt he has the influence you think.

If starting a newsletter and spreading your bitterness further throughout the community will make you feel better then be all means do so. The last edition of the PATA newsletter was such a hit with its venom spewing.

Back to the sewer plant. Was the $14 million in 2008 or was that in 2003-2004 because I seem to remember if being closer to $10 million in 2004, just like the $10 million the city is shelling out now! Was the sand filter approved by the EPA back in 2003 when it was first designed and could it have been built according to the specifications on hand at the time? How long does it take to pass a rate increase? You claim the city would have defaulted in 2 years - that seems like plenty of time to have passed a rate increase and started collecting additional income to cover the costs of the loan in addition to the tap fees the city was still collecting at the time. What was the capacity of the 2003 plant vs the plant the city is now going to build? I seem to remember the old design being able to handle more capacity than the one that's going to be built. Were your figures verified by anyone other than yourself for the city defaulting or is this another Ted always knows best situation?

For what it's worth I agree the city can probably give a tax break to those who work outside the city but I'm not going to be paying any more than I do now and I'm ok with that. I'd rather be status-quo than see a tax increase so I'll vote for this increase vs risking cutting city services. Why would anyone spend time trying to convince you of anything? You've already clearly stated you're not voting for this increase.
Editor??

Wasn't Fix the editor of the PATA newsletter?
webmaster one

Jeff Fix edited just a few PATA newsletters. Bob Harding was the primary author and editor of the bulk of the newsletters with inputs from various sources in the community.

A number of us had to go to the library bi weekly to read council minutes and go to the township hall to read their minutes as web copies were few and far between back in the day. We also requested copies of documents from various agencies on a regular basis.
