Cut it

Staff recommended that the fire works be cut. That saves $28,000. Why do we continue to entertain these thoughts of having the fourth of July celebration? I think we should be grateful that other people are willing to help some but none of them cover all of the costs. No matter what kind of show is presented it still requires police and city workers to control it and to clean up afterwards. It makes no sense to me to continue trying to find a way to do it. Just don't do it. Cut it out of the budget. PERIOD.
