I don't think the other poster necessarily make an accusation of an ethics violation. I think that he or she was just pointing out there are direct violations and perceived.
Perception is reality in a burg like Picktown.
I think most of us would agree that even with this less than solid tie (dottedd line) from a voting councilman to a vendor making potentially large amounts of cash from the city, the more honorable course of action would have been to continue to abstain. Then threads like this would never be written.
No one ever proved the dotted lines between administrations of the past and developers were any more than just that but look where it got them.
I think Sauer has lost all credibility on this. I also think Sanders' credibility has at least been damaged but not necessarily lost.
