Dear Violet
What scares me the most about Citizens for a Strong yada yada is not so much what you hear from them, but what you don?’t hear. I read and reread their last story in the local media (a half page, by the way) and it said nothing. It was just like a Presidential Candidate?’s speech, long, flowery and of no substance. Did the article tell you anything you didn?’t know? Nope. Did it say the yadas were going to do anything? Nope. Did it even hint that there was something wrong that they were standing up for to help make right? Nope.
Why is that? Because this dozen or so folks represent exactly the status quo. Is there a single one among them who disagrees with what the City Council or the majority of the School Board is doing to us? Nope. It?’s like appointing former President William Jefferson Clinton to head the morals and ethics investigation into Rep. Gary Condit?’s alleged behavior.
I don?’t want to see this discussion are turn in to the negative, hateful and spiteful place it was last time Mr. Uher got involved, so I?’ll ask this: Citizens for a Strong yada yada, PLEASE start a website. Contact the people at Neighborhood Link and get something going. We need a place to hear what you have to say or not say. You claim to represent our interests, well then give us a way to communicate them with you. Because, trust me, our interests are not the same as those you so transparently truly represent. A discussion board such as this one would be a perfect place to get the issues out in the open and debate them. Talk to us. Tell us what you can do to help.
