For all the less-than-friendly discussion here on this website, I?’m pleased there is a growing consensus among community citizens, PATA members, school supporters and our Citizens for a Strong Violet Township-Pickerington supporting three of the sixteen candidates running this fall in the Pickerington area.

Terry Dunlap and Harry Myers are both headed for victory in their race for Violet Township Trustee against two lesser-known but quality individuals. Dunlap and Myers are supported by the vast majority of PATA members and citizens backing pro-teamwork & cooperation candidates. I was most impressed with the quote in Myers literature from PATA backers, The Ricketts. John & Rita Ricketts have a big influence on this community, and I?’m delighted to see such influential citizens back Harry Myers. In addition, for an elected Fairfield County official like Pickerington's Ed Laramee's boss, Barb Curtiss, to make a public endorsement in the race is also very important. Their endorsement will help Myers win the election.

In addition, there is also a similar community consensus toward Wes Monhollen to elect him to our school board. He has been received the endorsement of nearly every current and former public officeholder in Violet Township. In his literature, the list of individuals supporting him contain many PATA members, taxpayers, teachers, school supporters, nearly every civic association leader in the area, and almost all current and former public officeholder in the Township.

Finally, in terms of the school board, I?’m glad to see Gail Oakes took my advice and changed the top three issues impacting our schools in her recent mailing. I know incumbents win in 90% of the races and Oakes is an incumbent. However, I have been shocked by the lack of support for her and the anti-incumbent attitude prevelant in the school board race. I think Oakes contributed to this attitude with her broom stunt during the Labor Day Parade. According to residents in her neighborhood in Jefferson Woods, Oakes has little support. I?’m also surprise that PATA spokesperson, Bob Harding, does not even have a sign for Oakes in his yard or windows at his house. There seems little support for Oakes even on this website outside of the usual individuals who are afraid to sign their names to their posting?– who knows Soup Box, or Voter could really be Gail Oakes or Bruce Rigelman.

Again, I think we ought work hard to find areas we can agree on and I?’m glad to see us all endorse at least a third of all candidates.

Mark's Imaginary World

Mr. Uher what in the hell are you smoking? You claim you are ?“pleased with a growing consensus among community Citizens, PATA members.?” You are not a member of PATA never was never will be. You wouldn?’t know a PATA member even if they lived next door to you. So how can you speak for them? Why aren?’t you speaking for the defunct ?“Citizens for a Strong Violet Township-Pickerington?” group that you co-chaired last spring with Daryl? If your Harry Myers is making statements that he has the endorsement of PATA members then he is in error. They don?’t make endorsements.

You say your boy Wes Monhollen is getting support from PATA members neither he nor you know any PATA members. PATA is not giving Wes Monhollen an endorsement. You claim the teachers support him. I thought the teachers endorsed Bill Powers? Along with the Pickerington Times-Sun. You are quoted as saying the Pickerington Times-Sun is one of the finest local newspaper in Ohio. I guess since they are the premier paper here in Pickerington we should follow their advice and vote for Bill Powers.

John & Rita Ricketts are very well respected here in Pickerington and since signs in peoples yards are apparently very important to you, you should know that they have two Gail Oakes signs. Is that a sign she will win? Apparently you were not at the Labor Day Parade. Gail Oakes didn?’t have a broom. She was running on a treadmill. While I?’m on the subject, you know Mark I have seen some pictures of you lately and you are getting a little round in the middle. Maybe a little treadmill might help you too.

I know where Bob Harding lives and I know where you live. Why would you go out of your way to see if Bob Harding had signs in his yard or his windows? Do you look in all of your neighbor?’s windows? You know back where I come from they call fellows like you peeping Tom?’s. Maybe your civic association should alert the neighbors that you might be looking into their windows during the evening hours. Can you see everything you need to see from the sidewalk?

Mark you are a big hypocrite. You used aliases on the PATA WEB site just this past week. Yet you tried your same old crap of trashing Gail Oakes and Bruce Rigelman. Mrs. Oakes and Doctor Rigelman always use their real names on the WEB site.

Your closing is the biggest contradiction of them all. Your quote, ?“Again, I think we ought to work hard to find areas we can agree on.?” If your people are going to win all the open seats this fall why would you want to work with the rest of us? You?’ll rule come November 7th! Mark I will never agree with you because you never know the issues. You only know how to make snide remarks about someone and go right to the edge of slander. You have nothing of value to offer me or this community. If it aint about you then you lose interest. You want to improve the schools but get in bed with Daryl because he is willing to stroke your ego. Daryl has done more harm to this community that everyone I know in the last 23 years I lived here. You have been blinded by the fact that he paid some attention to you. You apparently are very willing to be his bitch! Before you ever think about working together with anyone you first must develop some character.

Another 180 degree turn Mark

Mark,

Once again I see you have flip-flopped on your political support. I witnessed you threaten Terry Dunlap in the Trustee meeting stating you would oppose him with lots of money and effort in the election because of his actions on the CANAL/VIOLET CEDA.

Now you are endorsing him. This is not to render an opinion on Mr. Dunlap or his candidacy but to point out to candidates whom you support that they need to keep an eye on their six with you as you are all over the map in a very public manner with you affections for political figures. One day you threaten them publicaly and a few months later you fund their campaigns and extoll their virtues. I think your endorsement may not be a positive for some.

Good Luck candidates if you embrace this individual and his antics.

Lunatics

My Dearest Old Fart.

I?’m once again surprised by this PATA website. I find it amusing that so many people are afraid to post their names on this site, but can name call and cuss. It is rather comical how the very few PATA lunatics can trash me for my issues. Too bad, you, soap box, voter, utvw, violet cannot vote.

Old Fart, since you represent the integrity of PATA so very well, are you, by any chance Gail or Dan Oakes?

I stand by my posting. Lots of PATA members have endorsed Harry Myers including the Ricketts. And, if you would like to see Monhollen?’s list of PATA member endorsements in his latest brochure, just let me know where to send it. Three of the most prominent PATA members have endorsed Monhollen.

You never did say why Bob Harding does not have a Gail Oakes sign in his yard or in his windows. Gail Oakes support throughout the community is very weak for an incumbent. Too bad, you missed her stint on her broom at the Labor Day parade.

Too bad you cannot vote, Old Fart!
