Mark,
Have you read that the ''discussion area'' of PATA's web page is a free forum?
Mr. Rigelman can say what he pleases.
I think that everyone should start talking here.
I would also like to ask you for the dates and names of posters that you say are 'cussing & using vulgar language'. I do not recall 'cussing or vulgar language' in the posts I have read.
--Your qoute:
''I do wish more people would log onto this website and view first hand the hatred and division within our community that PATA is trying to create. Few would believe the cussing, name-calling, vulgar language, and distorted information found on this website and on the PATA homepage.''
--end your quote
By the way, what is the web address for your website that displays un-distorted information?
Thanks for your prompt reply,
Tim Bryant

Tim, Do You Have Answers?
Tim,
I agree 100%. I have always welcomed Bruce saying what ever he wants to. In fact, the more Bruce talks, the better off our community would be. I wished more people would read his Pep Talk here. I have printed it off and made copies of it so more people can read how much of an impact PATA had on the elections and how he was looking forward to PATA's further clout in the next elections. When Bruce talks, I listen.
In terms of cussing, Tim, please review postings all postings between October 19 and November 6. There were several cuss words used, including the b word and the h word.
There is no need for anyone else in the community to have a website. We are all taxpayers and should be welcomed on this non-partisan website -- unless this organization is partisan and has changed their Articles of Association.
Tim, this is a non-partisan organization, isn't it. Are you a dues paying member of PATA? Do you know who the officers are? If so, please share with us who the officers are? Do you know where the funding comes from to pay for the newsletter? Is there a wealthy landowner in the community a top contributor to PATA? And, Tim, do you know the PATA FTI number and if it is a registered political action committee? Were you involved in the PATA recruitment of candidates to run for local offices? How many members does PATA have, Tim?
Tim, any information you possess related to any of my questions will be most valuable. Thank you for your prompt reply.

Answers
Mark,
I disagree with your statement ?“There is no need for anyone else in the community to have a website.?” It is apparent that you take great umbrage to the ideals that PATA stands for, and I feel that maybe you should create a website stating your truths, and your opinions. If you feel so strongly about destroying PATA then start a site for your Citizens Group and explain why PATA is wrong.
Thanks for encouraging me to go back and read through the postings again. There were several very good ones that I missed.
And the answers to your questions (My answers):
1.) ?“this is a non-partisan organization, isn't it?”
- The ?“discussion area?” appears to be partisan in all directions. It is a free forum for Township Residents and Pickerington Citizens to speak their individual opinions. The content of the ?“Our Pages?” section provides the residents and citizens with public information. I do not think public information is partisan. So my answer is yes, I believe the organization is non-partisan.
2.) ?“Are you a dues paying member of PATA??”
- No
3.) ?”Do you know who the officers are??”
- No
4.) ?“Do you know where the funding comes from to pay for the newsletter??”
- I do not know directly where the funding comes from. I would imagine that it comes from individuals that make donations to keep it in operation. It does say on the newsletter ?“PATA is a volunteer citizens group striving to keep you informed. We strive for the cooperative and efficient workings of our City, Township & School District. Your continued financial support is what makes our efforts and this mailing possible. Our only backing is citizens like you.?”
5.) ?“Is there a wealthy landowner in the community a top contributor to PATA??”
- As stated above, I don?’t know directly where the funding comes from. And I do not know who the top contributors are. Are wealthy landowners not allowed to make donations? I am sure that there are many wealthy people maybe even some of them are landowners that have donated.
6.) ?“And, Tim, do you know the PATA FTI number and if it is a registered political action committee??”
- No
7.) ?“Were you involved in the PATA recruitment of candidates to run for local offices??”
- No, I was not aware that such recruiting took place. Do you have any factual information that the PATA organization recruited candidates? Maybe you can post the facts on your website for all to see.
Once again, the above answers are mine and I am not speaking on behalf of the PATA organization.
Regards,
Tim Bryant

What Ideals
Tim, that's my point exactly -- I'm not sure what are the ideals PATA stands for. It is hard to support an organization that you don't know who the officers are, don't know where the money comes from to print and mail the newsletters, and seems to feel an individual's personal problems with an area club merits front page coverage -- isn't it?
