AGREED

I AGREE, BUT CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED THIS LAST ELECTION WHEN WE HAD 4 SEATS UP AND COULD ONLY GET DAVE AND TED TO RUN? THEN ONLY DAVE WON (THANK GOD). EVEN THOUGH TED WAS A WRITE IN HE SHOULD HAVE WON, I REALLY THINK THE MAJORITY OF THE PICKERINGTON RESIDENTS JUST DONT CARE OR THEY DONT THINK THEY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. WHEN I WAS RUNNING FOR TRUSTEE I FOUND ALOT OF PEOPLE IN PICKERINGTON FELT THEY ALREADY LIVED IN ZERO LOT LINED PLOTS SO WHY COULDNT EVERYBODY, ALSO THEY FELT THE MORE PEOPLE THE LESS TAXES, THEY JUST DIDNT GET IT. SOMEHOW WE HAVE TO GET THE MESSAGE OUT TO THEM TO OVERTURN THE CURRENT DICTATORSHIP IN PICKERINGTON, LETS JUST KEEP PRAYING.

Hope you're still around

Bruce,

From one Fed to another, I hope you're still around come next election and run again. If you're a City resident, throw your hat in the ring. We're just now starting to get to know you. I believe that is the main problem with elections; people not getting the time to know you and your stand on issues.

THANKS FOR THE PAT ON THE BACK. I WISH I DID LIVE IN THE CITY AS I WOULD RUN, BUT I LIVE IN THE TOWNSHIP. I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT GETTING AN APT. IN THE CITY TO ESTABLISH MY RESIDENCY AND RUN BUT THE WAY PICKERINGTON IS SUCKING UP LAND I MAY BE IN THE CITY BEFORE I KNOW IT.

Less money to educate

Tim Bryant asked about the cost of the portable classrooms. I have heard they cost between $60,000 and $70,000. Their life expectancy is less than 10 years. The school treasurer, Dennis Monewski, said to me a couple of years ago that they are the most cost effective way to house the overcrowding. Typical bean counter, they are all born with tunnel vision. It takes about $20,000 to move one of these babies. All this is coming out of the operating budget for our schools. When you drive by look at them as a new teacher that wasn?’t hired.

It seems that every policy practiced here in Pickerington tends to lower the amounts of money available to educate our children. Above is just one example.
