Public Input at All Meetings

Thank you for posting your opinion in a very professional manner.
I still maintain that there needs to be public input at these informal, discussion-only board meetings that Mrs. Oakes suggested. At every legally-scheduled meeting of our elected officials, the media should be included and public comments should be welcomed. Unless the Pickerington Times Sun misquoted Mrs. Oakes, she did not want public comments at these special board meetings.
If Mrs. Oakes would like to talk to another board member about an issue informally before a meeting, she should either e-mail that member or call him or her.
I believe all board members should welcome the opportunity to hear from the public.
