Ed Laramee
Mark,
I happen to STRONGLY BELIEVE that Ed Laramee is a man who has the highest personal integrity and ethics. He calls them as he sees them and proves to be accurate in nearly all cases. The fact that he took such action on this incident in an effort to clear the perception upon his name and reputation should be a huge red flag to all Republicans and others who know him and because of such they should become cognizant of the misdoings, real and perceived of the group involved.
When he wrote the letter about the actions at candidates night, it was no small issue with him as I believe he has tolerated many antics of the others in the past, offering his opinion directly to them but never going public with his position. I know for a fact that the actions really angered him and crossed the ethical line so strongly in his view, including invoking his name, linked to the Brian Fox address and literally no other club members name was on the letter except the endorsed candidates who voted on the ''endorsement.''I called Ed after receiving several calls from my neighbors stating that they were suprised that Ed was doing endorsements as it has not been his policy to our knowledge. I told him it was my opinion that the letter could be perceived as his personal endoresment of the mentioned candidates due to the nature of its content and that it would harm his reputation. The letter was misleading in my view because his was the only club member name contained in its text. He knew that a letter was being created and of the requirement of the treasurers statement upon it, but was unaware of the content of the letter and the misleading nature construed by the fact that his name was the only prominant name upon the letter!
Your attacks on him in this matter are unfounded and digusting. If he saw the actions in a darkened hallway, I believe you can trust that that is EXACTLY how it went down because he has always been a straight shooter and has nothing to gain from being less than that.
